We don't give a firm price for a spring or cable job over the phone without at least a photo or a clear description of the setup, because getting that wrong means either lowballing you or padding the number to cover ourselves - neither is honest. We don't quote jobs sight-unseen on anything involving a bent track, a sagging section, or an opener with an intermittent fault, since those can turn out to be a ten-minute fix or a half-day job depending on what's actually wrong once we're looking at it.
We also won't push a repair on a door that's cheaper to replace in the long run. If your door is original to a house built in the late 1990s and the opener, springs, and rollers are all failing at once, patching one part while the rest ages out under it isn't a good use of your money, and we'll say so plainly instead of running up a repair bill in pieces. One honest limit: we don't carry parts for every obscure or discontinued panel style on the spot, so if your door is an unusual older model, there may be a short wait on the exact part before we can finish the job.
